Simulation

faceLAB has a long history of performance in simulator-based research, due primarily to unique features that have been further improved in faceLAB 5. From single-screen simulators to full-blown 9-DOF motion platform deployments, faceLAB delivers precise, high-performance eye tracking in any simulation environment.

Simple Simulator Integration

faceLAB 5 is taking simulator-based research to the next level thanks to full integration with leading simulator provider Realtime Technologies Inc (RTI). faceLAB 5 connects natively to RTI simulators, streamlining data transfer and gaze-object intersection. If you are in the market for a simulator / eye tracker package, please contact us for more information.

Alternatively, if your simulator is custom or has been developed in-house, faceLAB v5’s new programmatic remote control capabilities give you everything you need to build a seamless integration, no matter your platform. Using real-time remote control, it is possible to create simulator scenarios that change or adapt dynamically depending on the subject’s level of attention, fatigue or workload.

Multi-Screen Calibration

faceLAB’s multi-screen capability lets you calibrate every screen in your simulator, taking into account size, position and orientation. This allows you to quickly correlate gaze position with objects in the simulated environment. No more annoying replaying and video annotation: get results in real-time broken down by regions or objects of interest. faceLAB v5’s unobtrusive cameras provide a myriad of mounting options to suit your simulator, giving you a field of view that can be expanded with more cameras.

Fatigue Studies

faceLAB v5 features improvements to our best-in-class eyelid tracking algorithms that capture the minutia of eyelid movements and have made faceLAB the de facto standard for automotive fatigue studies worldwide.
