Get inside their heads with the SceneCamera for faceLAB®. Record, playback and see what your subjects are seeing.

Available now as an accessory to faceLAB, the SceneCamera provides a subject's-eye view of dynamic environments:

  • Watch as your subjects drive, observing other vehicles, signposts and traffic signals.
  • Study gaze behavior in two-person face-to-face interaction.
  • Watch eye contact and glances in a naturalistic setting.
  • Provide objective feedback backed up by video evidence for training of drivers, pilots, or critical task operators.

The SceneCamera for faceLAB utilizes a wide field-of-view 'fish-eye' lens camera yielding a user selectable viewing angle of up to 95°. Using Seeing Machines proprietary computer vision techniques, this video image is optically corrected to remove lens distortion and is presented in a natural aspect ratio. Eye-gaze position and optionally head-position information (recorded by faceLAB) is drawn over the video image of the scene.

The SceneCamera's small size makes it easy to mount whether your experimental environment is a vehicle, simulator or laboratory. Seamless synchronization with faceLAB minimizes setup time, and straightforward calibration and recording means that you get data sooner. The SceneCamera is available now as an accessory to faceLAB.
